December 18, 2007: My eye's are healing up nicely! My vision is back to what it was before the surgery. I continue to take a steroid eye drop 4 times a day and will be doing that for the next few weeks, as well as using lubricating eye drops for a bit as well. Over the next couple of months, my vision should continue to get better and better. LOL I'm already eyeing some new sunglasses that I've always wanted but never considered because they would need perscription lenses.
Other than that, all's going pretty well. Other updates are needed here, but don't feel like typing now. Will do that later on.
December 4, 2007: Well time for an update on the eye surgery!. Today is the first day that I can tolerate looking at a computer monitor/TV screen, since my eyes have been super sensitive to light and my vision has been horrible! LOL if I didn't know that this is normal, I'd be thinking to myself "What the hell did I just pay five thousand dollars for!?!?!" (though the thought did cross my mind once or twice early on :)
So, I had the procedure on Thursday .I arrived at the doctors office at 9:30 AM and was out the door and home by 11:00 AM! In a nutshell, they dilated my pupils, put a whole bunch of different eye drops in them and then got me onto the table. My surgeon was there along with a few other doctors (all of whom were very nice). The actual procedure took about 10 minutes, and it wasn't too bad at all. (I'll come back and edit this post w/more info in a few days w/more details).
So, here is a snapshot of my recovery process. I intend to update this over time, so be sure to check back!
