| December 26, 1998: Well, this will probably
be my last journal entry for 1998. I am still finding it hard to
believe that this year is almost over.... Time sure does fly when you are
living life :-)
I had a very pleasant holiday and I hope that you did as well. I spent Christmas Eve and day with Paul Barnes and his family in Sanburton, NH. I had an awesome time with Paul and his family and as always, I was made to feel like part of the family (and I was reminded by Barbara that I was part of the family :-). On Christmas day, we all enjoyed an AWESOME dinner of prime rib. Mmmmmm, makes me drool just thinking about it. YUMMY! Hehehe, anyway, I ended up back at my house late on Friday night (after checking in on Beck and Lisa's cats). The rest of the weekend was pretty quiet and relaxing. On Saturday, Paul got a tattoo! It is of a compass rose, from the cover of a Jimmy Buffett album (of course!) and it looks awesome! I'll try and get a picture of it up here soon. On Sunday, I spent most of the day lounging around, watching movies and just taking it easy. Oh yeah, I also made my first batch of chocolate truffles and they came out devilishly good! MMMMmmmm, chocolate!
Work wise, I'd say this week will probably be pretty quiet and that will be a nice way to end up the year :-)
I've posted some new pictures of my brother in the album section of the site. Check 'em out!
I'm not quite sure what I'm doing for New Years yet. I've got
a few tentative ideas right now, with most of them pointing to me heading
up to VT for New Years Eve. We'll see what happens.
I'd like to take this time to wish you and yours a very safe,
All the best!
December 16, 1998: A picture of my tattoo is now on the site. Check it out! ~Penz
December 14, 1998: Well, had a very nice and relaxing weekend. Went out to dinner on Sat. with Dustin, Chris, Roman (Chris's baby), Perky, Tanya, Col. Mustard, Spidey (back from OH for the weekend), Cathy, Stupp (back up from Key West for a week) and a few others. The occasion was to say good-bye to Perky. He's leaving for Cincinnati, OH to go to work for ComAir. He'll be living with his hopefully soon to by fiancee', Tanya.
Had a terrific dinner last week at my brother's new place. The new place is gorgeous! He's rented out out the bottom floor of a beautiful old Victorian house and he's living these with his girlfriend. The place is tastefully decorated including such items as Tiffany lamps/clocks and oriental carpets. Heheheh, that's my bro :-)
Had a nice visit from Jamie Godbout. He DROVE out from Great Falls, MT for a week to visit his friends/family. Hehehe, what a long drive! He spent the weekend at my place. It was really great to see him and he is doing v. well.
And in a tiny nutshell, 10 more shopping days folks :-)
All the best ~Penz
December 7, 1998: Well the best way to start off this day is by wishing Ric Dagenais a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Heheh, so old man, how old are you now? 38, 39?? Heheheheh.....
Well, my trip out to CA was nothing if not... interesting. I spent the first three days with Alexander. It was beyond wonderful to spend those days with him. Honestly, it was a dream, and sadly, I had to leave it on Sunday.... alas, c'est la vie.. for now. And that's all I'm going to say about that, for now, other than I miss you dearly Alex and one day.... the dream may become reality and then again it may not. No matter. Carpe Diem!!!
And speaking of dreams becoming reality, I got my first tattoo! I got it with Alex while we were down in Hillcrest, CA (just outside of San Diego). It is on my right arm and it is the Chinese symbol for "Tao". I will soon be creating a section of my web site dedicated to this philosophy. It a nutshell, for me, this symbol represents my path in life (literally). I'll have a picture of it up here soon.
The rest of my trip to CA SUCKED! I actually ended up cutting the entire trip short and returned to NH late on Wed. I took a few days to recoup and now I'm back in full force.
Lot's more to tell, but not right now. I'll re-hash more of this past week in a day or two.
I hope that all is well out there in the rest of the world.... Remember, keep smiling ~Penz
