"I just wanted to drop everyone a line and let you know that I've pulled the wool ever yet another airlines eyes and tricked them into hiring me. I received a phone call from the director of the 727 division at FedEx and he offered me a job starting March 21st!   I will be moving to Memphis in the next few weeks to get settled in before I start training."

and from my brother Tim:

"I just accepted a new position at http://www.ambientcorp.com/ as a network Engineer. The company is located in Brookline next to Fenway Park on Beacon St. I'm very excited and can't wait to start tomorrow morning!!! 

Also with this job I'll be traveling to Brazil, London, Japan and other cool places I've never been. I guess all that hard work at my last company paid off. My new boss is my old boss from Digital Broadband and brought me aboard."

Hahahah, meanwhile, at Quintus.... things are intersting!  Keeps you eyes on the news.

February 4, 2001:  Today's weather was worth noting, as it was about 75' today at 3:00 pm.  I got up late (around 10:30), washed and then waxed my car, grabbed a cold beer, book and towel and headed over to the pool.  <grin>  Nice and Relaxing!!!

February 3, 2001:  Yep, once month down, already!  Heheheh, where does the time go!  Well, let's see, things are going pretty well here in Dublin, CA. 

On the work front:  Things at Quintus seem to be going ok.  Our stock isn't trading yet, but life continues on, and there's plenty of work to be done.  I still enjoy the people I work with (great bunch) and am hoping that the next few months have something good in store for us folks at the big Q.  We'll see.

On the fun front:  Well, I've been spending a little time on eBay!  hehehe, talk about addictive and fun!  Well, I've made my first big ticket item purchases this week (and they'll probably be my last for a while).  The time has come for me to get back into playing the piano, and I'm doing so with a:

Korg N1 Synthesiser of which I'm going to hook up to a Roland KC-100 amplifier.  Hehehe, I can't wait for them to get here!  They should both arrive by end of next week.  For those of you who didn't know, I played the piano for 12 years, and then stopped when I was about 18.  I'm going to now try and get back into it.  Adam "Skinny Daug" Arnold's brother has one and I got to play it while down in LA a couple of weeks ago.  It was great!  I can't wait to have one of my own.  Should be very theraputic.

Let's see, today I hung out with Justin during the morning/mid-afternoon, down in SJC.  Had a nice time, and had lunch at the Gordon Biersche Brewery.  After that, I dropped him off (had to go to work) and then headed over to Rob and Susans for dinner.  Had a great time with them.  Hahaha, yes Becky, I finally dropped off your gift for them!  Hehehe, made them smile :)

And otherwise, not too much is going on.

Ok, it's pretty late, so I'm off to bed.  Stay tuned for a kewl mini web site I'm putting together for Kevin Barnes.  It's all about his life on isle :)
