January 14, 2002:  Well, I had a nice weekend out here in sunny CA!  The weather was beautiful out here over the weekend.  It was really hard to believe that it was the middle of January.  Hehehe, that

January 8, 2002:  Well, all is going well here in partly sunny CA :-)  Not too much to report on the home front.  Work has been busy as heck all week.  Seems like everyone is finally waking up from their XMas/New Years vacations.  Hehehe, about time! That's ok, I'd rather it be busy than it be slow.  Makes the day fly by.

I talked to Steve "Milkman" Mayou last night.  He's doing well in Hawaii and I guess the USN is treating him pretty well.  Hahaha, better than he is treating his liver, at least :-)  Sounds like our boy has been giving it a go for the money at the bars with his friends.  That's ok!  Hehehe, it's good to be young :)  Looks like Steve might ship out for 6 months in a few months from now.  Yeah, in a sub, for 6 months, with 60+ other young in shape guys ages in their earliy 20's.  HAHAHA, sounds like a vacation to me!  HEHEHEHE, poor Milkman... Remember Steve, what happens out on the sea, stays out on the sea :)

Moving along.... :)

Check out Lisa Cragan's BEAUTIFUL son Devin.  Haha, her 'little monster' is hella cute!!

Lisa is giving me lots of well deserved SHIT for not seeing her during my last couple of trips back East.  I think she's gonna fly to CA and kick my ass for that!!!!  I'm gonna have to kiss a lot of ass to get forgivin.  SORRY LISA!!!!! :-)

Becky and Lisa made it safely back from Hawaii.  Hehehe, they are still trying to adjust to the East coast time zone and the weather.  It's hard to go from shorts and t-shirts to jeans and flannel, eh ladies? Hehehe, now you know why I always wear shorts! :-)

Justin is doing well. He just got promoted to assistant manager at Starbucks.  I'm proud of him for making it into a management position so early in his career.  He's doing really well and all and all, has made a good life for himself out here in CA over the past year and a half.  It'll be interesting to see what good things this year has in store for him.

I just finished a really good book called the Wizzards First Rule.  It's the first book in the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind.  If you like fantasy novels, I highly recommend this book.  I'm off to buy #2 tonight :)

And that's about it. I hope your first week in 2002 has gone well.  Drop me a line and say hi if you get a chance.

All the best.

January 4, 2002:  Well, for the past few days I've had the non pleasure of dealing with a nasty bug which has left me feeling a bit under the weather.  Let's just say that my system has been 'cleansed' and leave it at that (and ok, I'm really happy I buy the good 2 ply TP :-)

Otherwise, all is well.

January 1, 2002:  HAPPY NEW YEAR!  2002 is officially here and so begins another New Year!

First off, I'd like to wish my sister Gini a very Happy Birthday!  She turns 22 years old today!!!  Damn, time sure does fly by, doesn't it?  Well, she's turned out to be a wonderful human being of whom I'm proud to call my sister.  I'm looking forward to spending many more years with her as she continues to journey through this great adventure of life.  She certainly is making a good trip out of it :-)

Last night was a quiet night for me.  I went out to dinner w/Justin at Fuzio's here in Dublin and we had a decent meal.  After that, we went and saw Vanilla Sky.  That was a trippy, but good, movie.  It certainly threw me for a loop!  Well worth seeing, in my opinion.  After that, he took off and went out w/his friends to party in the new year, while I stayed at my place and took it easy.  I'm still a bit exhausted from my trip back East, which was a lot of fun.  Hehehe, unfortunately, I didn't get much sleep, so now I'm paying for it and playing catch up.

I spoke with a few friends last night and got some nice voicemails from those I missed!  Travis "Shoebox" Nelson was crocked out of his mind in NC and we had a fun conversation.  We're planning on getting together in the very near future for a visit.  It's been way too long!!!   Dave Crenshaw checked in from TN as did Becky and Lisa who were in LAX on their way back from a great trip to Kauai, HI.

The trip back East was a fun one.  Heheh, once again, I put a few miles on the rental car, 1481 to be exact.  Not bad for an 8 day trip! I got to see lots of friends and family during my time back, but of course, I didn't get to see everyone!  SORRY! :)

On Christmas eve day, I spent the afternoon with my brother Tim and his wife Suzanne.  They had a great little family get together over at their place.  Suzanne's parents and family were all there, and we had a really nice time hanging out. After a few hours there, I met up with my sister Gini and her friend Johnson at Mom's house where we enjoyed a nice lobster dinner together with her husband Walter.  All in all, it was a really nice day :)

On Christmas Day, I headed up to Sanbornton, NH and met Paul Barnes at his parents place.  Ma and Pa Barnes were there as well as Noni.  We had a wonderful day together opening presents in the morning and then eating the hell out of this huge prime rib that Ma Barnes cooked up.  It was awesome!  Who says you can't pick your family? Hehehe, not me! :-)

For the rest of the trip, I worked and tried to visit as many friends as I could.  All in all, it was  great trip of which I didn't get much sleep on, but that's ok.  Plenty of time to sleep later on :)

So, January 2002.  What to do?  What to do?  Well, I'm hoping to do a bit of traveling over the next month of two.  I'd like to get out to see my friends James Canders in MI and Travis Nelson in NC.  I'd also like to team up with Paul and go out to see his brother in St. Thomas some time in late February. Hopefully, that will work out sooner than later.  Heheh, as you can imagine, one wouldn't have to twist my arm to hard to get me out there :)

All in all, I'm hoping that 2002 will be a year filled with much joy, prosperity, opportunity and good health for all of my friends and family.  As a nation, I hope that it is one filled with peace and hope for all.

So, without further adieu, I'm off to for a nice long walk to get some much needed exercise.

All the best to you!
