| November 24, 1997: Had a really nice weekend. I went down to North Yonkers, NY (right next to the Bronx) with Michael "Tab" Waciscko to visit his family for a bit. We had breakfast in a real roadside NY diner (the Saw Mill Diner. My dad used to eat there about 30 years ago!) and got to go to a really good NY Jewish Delicatessen where I picked up some really good knishes. Mmmmmm
. Haven't had those in a while! We had a really nice visit with his family and I look forward to my next return.
Also got to visit Dave "Dacchi" McGullam's family out in Valley Stream Long Island, NY. I hadn't seen them in a few years and it was about time that I rectified that! Although I didn't get to see Dave, I got to see his mom and dad and his brother Matthew. I hope to get back to see them all in the not too distant future.
Well, this week is Thanksgiving. I plan on spending it with Paul Barnes and his family for the third year in a row. Should be an awesome time (I already started fasting just so that I will be able to handle the 6 course meal! It's quite the feast!).
Otherwise, not too much else going on up here. Just waiting for Dec 16th to hurry up and get here so that I can get my ass out to Hawaii (and let me tell you, it can't come too soon!!!!!)
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoys their upcoming long weekend (unless you are in the retail business, and if that is the case, I pity you!)! ~penz
November 14, 1997: Uggggghh, today we got our first snow! Heheheh, I protested by wearing a my sandals, shorts, and flash Hawaiian shirt to work (I look like a tourist from Key West!). Ahh well, Margaritaville, it's a state of mind!
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Stay warm and keep smiling! ~penz
November 10, 1997: Well, it was a pretty rainy weekend up here in NH. Too bad it wasn't snow! We'd be up to our asses in it! Heheheheh, well, anyway, it was a pretty nice weekend. I spent yesterday afternoon with my father, sister and brother at Legal's Seafood in Peabody, MA. We had an awesome afternoon together just hanging out, drinking wine, talking and having a wonderful meal together. It was a really great way to spend the afternoon. Around 4:30, we went our separate ways and then I stopped by my mother's house for a brief visit (second time this year ) and then headed back up to NH for the rest of the night.
Are you an X-Files fan (like me!). Pretty damn cool 100th episode last night. Wow, talk about tying up some loose ends, eh?
This weekend I rented and watched two cool movies: Austin Powers (Heheheh, this was pretty funny baby!) and Two Days in the Valley (good flick. Action/suspense, but with that Quintin Terratino twist to it).
I'm now using a program called ICQ. It is an Internet chat program that's pretty cool to use. Let's you send online messages, chat, play games, etc You can download and use it for free! Go to: http://www.mirabilis.com/download/ If you do get it, my UIN# is: 4897788
And now, for some shocking news .. after years of threatening to do so, I've joined the gym! Hehehe, yep, finally decided to do so and all in all, I'm really enjoying it. I joined on Friday Oct. 31 and so far, between working out each morning (mostly cardiovascular at this point) I've lost 10 lbs.! Not a bad start, but in my book, I've got a ways to go, but this is a good start.
As you can see, there have been some new updates the site last week (new look, new sections, etc ) Let me know what you think. ~penz
November 7, 1997: As of today, a new section of my site is open: The Gallery. If you want to what kind of men that I find attractive, well here's your chance!
The Cellar Dwellars Page has been updated. The logo is a bit smaller, and a new address book page is up (and under construction). ~Penz
November 3, 1997: I can't believe it's November. Only 53 more shopping days left until X-mas (or Chanukah this year).
Had a pretty nice weekend. Friday night Paul, Becky and I avoided the trick o' treaters and hid at the sushi bar for a few hours putting down some sake' and sushi. Mmmm, it was good! Kinda just bummed around Nashua for the rest of the night, stopped in at the local pub for a brew or two, visited Dana and Heather Johnson to check in on Katlin and also got to see Rob and Kelley Taylor and their son Alexander.
Saturday night Paul and I met up with Dana Johnson. This poor guy hasn't been out for a beer with us for almost 6 weeks. He's been pretty busy with his new baby girl, so it was nice for him to take a little break for night. Just hung out and watched some movies and caught a buzz.
Matt "PJ" Carron stopped in for the night to visit J.J. He seems to be doing well and is flying out in the Western part of MA.
Sunday, Becky and I picked up our plane tickets to Kauai, Hawaii! Yeee haaaa! From Dec. 16-28th, we'll be out sunning ourselves on the beach, drinking margaritas and listening to lot's of Jimmy Buffett! It's gonna be awesome! Later on that night, we headed over to Paul's place for a boiled dinner of corn beef, cabbage, potatoes, turnips and carrots. Mmmmm, that was quite a tasty dinner. After dinner, we all watched The Simpsons, King of the Hill, and of course, the long awaited season premier of The X-Files (big fan!).
And that's about it for now. ~penz
